We are excited to run our Online Summer Course with live lectures delivered by undergraduates and graduates from the UK's top institutions. Join us live on Zoom every Sunday at 11am for 8 weeks!
If you’ve missed any lectures, you can still signup and watch the lectures back (they’re all recorded and uploaded straight away!)
The law is a complex and unique field: a fascinating blend of the humanities and the sciences with elements of history, psychology, sociology and mathematics all at play. Its mastery can unlock career at the Bar, as a solicitor, as a paralegal or in a wide range of other roles.
However, studying law at University can often seem daunting because legal study is simply not something which most people undertake prior to university. Even for those students that do take Law at A-level or who read all the recommended books, a law degree can still seem opaque. Trying to understand what you're getting yourself into when you sign up to 3 years with concepts such as "equity" or "administrative law" can prove elusive, especially for those whose parents are not from legal backgrounds.
The Law Admissions Academy's Online Summer Course will attempt to demystify higher legal education for those who are - or may be - interested in pursuing legal careers or studying the law for other reasons. The Law Admissions Academy has brought together a range of tutors from Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL, Durham, Glasgow and Cardiff universities to develop and deliver a series of 8 live seminars on the 8 subjects required for a "qualifying law degree".
Each topic in the Course will be delivered live via Zoom - the links for which can be found on the individual topic pages.
Each seminar takes place on a Sunday and starts at 11am (running for approximately one hour). Questions are welcomed!
The first seminar is 16th July and the last is 8 weeks later on 3rd September.
